PEMBALAP EROPA DOMINASI MOTO 1 AQUABIKE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP DI DANAU TOBA
KABUPATEN TOBA(Beritakeadilan.com, Sumatera Utara) Balige, Danau Toba, 16 Agustus 2025 - Seri perdana Moto 1 UIM-ABP Aquabike Class Pro Circuit World Championship resmi digelar di Danau Toba, Sabtu (16/8). Ajang internasional yang menghadirkan pembalap-pembalap terbaik dunia ini mempertandingkan kategori Runabout GP1, Ski GP1, Ski Ladies GP1, dan Freestyle. Persaingan berlangsung sengit sejak bendera start dikibarkan, dengan pembalap Eropa tampil dominan di podium.
Organizing Committee Chairman The Lake Toba GP/ Direktur Operasi ITDC, Troy Warokka, menegaskan balapan hari pertama ini menunjukkan kualitas persaingan kelas dunia. “Kami bangga melihat Danau Toba menjadi panggung internasional yang menghadirkan adrenalin, sekaligus memberi kesempatan masyarakat menyaksikan langsung sejarah baru olahraga air di Indonesia. Event ini tidak hanya menghibur, tapi juga mengangkat citra pariwisata kita di mata dunia,” ujar Troy.
Pada kelas Runabout GP1, pembalap Prancis Francois Medori tampil dominan dengan 15 lap sempurna, mengamankan 25 poin. Ia unggul tipis dari Samuel Johansson asal Swedia yang meraih 22 poin, dan rekan senegaranya Jeremy Perez di posisi ketiga dengan 20 poin.
Di kategori Ski GP1, Quinten Bossche asal Belgia mengunci kemenangan dengan 25 poin, disusul Oliver Koch Hansen (Denmark, 22 poin) dan Jeremy Poret (Prancis, 20 poin). Untuk kategori Ski Ladies GP1, pembalap Norwegia Benedicte Drange membuktikan konsistensinya dengan finis terdepan dan mengoleksi 25 poin. Ia hanya unggul tipis atas Jasmiin Ypraus dari Estonia (22 poin) dan Estelle Poret dari Prancis (20 poin).
Sementara itu, di nomor Freestyle, Italia menunjukkan dominasinya. Roberto Mariani keluar sebagai pemenang dengan total nilai 198 poin, unggul atas kompatriotnya Massimo Accumulo di posisi kedua, serta Rashid Al Mulla dari Uni Emirat Arab di posisi ketiga.
Kompetisi akan berlanjut pada Minggu (17/8) dengan seri Moto berikutnya yang akan menentukan juara Grand Prix of Indonesia 2025.

EUROPEAN RIDERS DOMINATE MOTO 1 OF AQUABIKE GRAND PRIX OF INDONESIA AT LAKE TOBA
Balige, Lake Toba, 16 August 2025 - The opening round of Moto 1 at the UIM-ABP Aquabike Grand Prix of Indonesia officially took place at Lake Toba on Saturday (16/8). The international event brought together some of the world’s best riders, featuring competitions in Runabout GP1, Ski GP1, Ski Ladies GP1, and Freestyle. From the moment the start flag dropped, the battles were fierce, with European riders dominating the podium.
Organizing Committee Chairman of The Lake Toba GP / Director Operations of ITDC, Troy Warokka, said that the first day of racing highlighted the quality of world-class competition. “We are proud to see Lake Toba become an international stage that delivers adrenaline while giving local communities the chance to witness a new chapter in watersport history here in Indonesia. This event is not only entertaining, but also elevates the image of our tourism on the global stage,” he said.
In the Runabout GP1 class, French rider Francois Medori delivered a dominant performance over 15 flawless laps, securing 25 points. He narrowly edged out Sweden’s Samuel Johansson with 22 points, while fellow Frenchman Jeremy Perez took third with 20 points.
In Ski GP1, Belgian rider Quinten Bossche claimed victory with 25 points, followed by Oliver Koch Hansen of Denmark (22 points) and Jeremy Poret of France (20 points). The Ski Ladies GP1 category saw Norwegian rider Benedicte Drange prove her consistency, taking the win with 25 points. She finished just ahead of Estonia’s Jasmiin Ypraus (22 points) and France’s Estelle Poret (20 points).
Meanwhile, in the Freestyle division, Italy showcased its strength as Roberto Mariani topped the standings with a total of 198 points, ahead of compatriot Massimo Accumulo in second, and the UAE’s Rashid Al Mulla in third.
The competition will continue on Sunday (17/8) with the next series of Motos, which will determine the overall champions of the Grand Prix of Indonesia 2025.
